What can I do with the Pulsar Stream Vision app?
The Pulsar Stream app is a multifunctional application that allows you to:
- download pictures and videos from your device to your smartphone;
- delete pictures and videos from your device;
- change the settings of the device;
- update your Pulsar device software;
- view the Pulsar device's camera image on your smartphone screen;
- stream the camera image to YouTube.

How to get the Stream Vision app?
The Stream Vision app is available for Android devices via Google Play and for iOS devices via the Apple Store. Either use the respective links below or search for “Stream Vision” in the respective app marketplaces.
If the software is already installed on your smart device, we recommend that you check at the time if there is an update available and update to the latest version.
Is the Stream Vision app also available for laptops and desktops?
The Stream Vision app is only available for iOS and Android smart devices, as the thermal imaging cameras themselves are designed for outdoor use, where a smart device is most practical.
How do I connect my Pulsar to a smart device?
For data transfer, a WiFi connection is used between the smart device and the Pulsar device, which has a WiFi module.
- Activate the Wifi module on your Pulsar.
- Activate WiFi on your smart device.
- Connect your Wifi Pulsar to the Wifi network. The name of the network is a combination of the model of the device and the four digits of the serial number (for example, for a Helion XP38 with serial number 12345678, the network name is Helion_5678).
- When you connect, you will be prompted for a password, which is 12345 for older firmware and 12345678 for newer firmware. If you have changed the password yourself, you will need to look it up in the thermal camera settings.
- Make sure the connection is established.
- Launch the Pulsar Vision app on your smart device.
- The app automatically connects to your thermal imager and you can start using it.
NOTE: On iOS 14, you must enable “Local Network” and “Mobile Data” in the app settings.
How do I update my thermal imaging camera software (firmware)?
To update the software on your device, you must use the Stream Vision app. You will also need to have a mobile internet connection and mobile data enabled on your smart device for the software update. Charge your Pulsar device's battery prior to the software update.
- Connect your smart device to the Stream Vision app.
- Select the My Devices section in the app
- Click on “Check for Update” button”
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTE: Keep your smart device as close as possible to the Pulsar device during the software update.
You can follow the progress of the update from the device's viewfinder. After a successful software update, the Pulsar will be switched off. Watch the video below for more details.
Can I connect multiple smart devices to my Pulsar device at the same time?
No, Pulsar devices only support one connection at a time.
Can the Stream Vision app be used with devices from other manufacturers?
No, the Stream Vision app is only for use with Pulsar devices.
