Compact modular clip-on temperature sensor

The Pulsar Proton XQ30 is a lightweight, compact thermal module with a modular design that attaches to the eyepiece of a day sight via a PSP adapter, transforming it into a fully-fledged thermal sight. With the viewfinder (included), the device can also be used as a standalone handheld thermal monocular — combining two roles in a single device.

Suitable for daily use

The PSP adapter is suitable for day sights with an external eyepiece diameter of either 50 mm or 56 mm. The adapter must be ordered separately, depending on the sight.

High-resolution 384 × 288 sensor

Thermosensor 384 × 288 @ 17 µm of a value NETD < 40 mK provides a sharp and clear image. Frame rate 50 Hz ensures smooth, lag-free viewing — even of moving objects.

Detection range: 900 m

The Proton XQ30 detects a human-sized heat source (1.8 × 0.5 m) up to 900 metres from a distance — suitable for hunting in the woods and for medium-range observation.

Shock-resistant magnesium body

The ruggedised magnesium alloy casing protects the device from external factors — such as vibration, shocks, temperature and weather conditions. Magnesium is lighter than plastic yet more durable, and also acts as a heat conductor, keeping the electronics at a stable temperature.

Viewing modes and eight colour palettes

Separate viewing modes for open terrain and woodland, with eight colour palettes for each environment. Brightness and contrast can be adjusted manually.

Weatherproof

The Proton XQ30 can withstand harsh weather conditions — rain and sleet. Protection class IPX7 (IEC 60529).

Photo and video recording

16 GB of internal storage for photos and videos. Photos in JPEG format, videos in MP4 format.

Set

Included: Proton XQ30 thermal module, viewfinder, carrying case, battery and charger, mains adapter, USB cable, user manual, lens cleaning cloth, warranty card. Choice of PSP adapter (50 or 56 mm).

Legislation

Please note! The civilian use of thermal imaging devices is not permitted in all countries. In Estonia, the Proton XQ30 is permitted for civilian use (Weapons Act § 20¹(5)), but the relevant restrictions must be observed.
