Pulsar Axion XG35 Compact Pocket Thermal Imaging Monocular

The Axion XG35 Compact is a pocket-sized thermal imaging monocular featuring a larger objective lens and a longer detection range than the XG30 Compact. It is ideal for those who want a compact device that also allows them to observe distant objects. Its European-made 640 × 480 sensor and 35 mm objective lens deliver detailed images in darkness, fog and through vegetation.

Image, magnification and display

The base magnification is 2.5×, and the field of view is 12.5°. The sensor has a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels (12 µm) and a thermal sensitivity of less than 40 mK. The germanium lens features an f/1.0 aperture, allowing more infrared radiation to reach the sensor and delivering a bright image. The cold-resistant AMOLED display provides a clear image even in winter, while eight colour palettes allow you to customise the image to suit your observation needs. The detection range is up to 1,750 metres.

Recording and app

The device features built-in video recording and image processing algorithms that improve target-to-background differentiation. It connects to a smartphone via Wi-Fi using the Stream Vision 2 app.

Battery and weather

The replaceable APS 3 battery provides up to 7 hours of operating time. The magnesium alloy housing is IPX7 waterproof, and the operating temperature range is –25 to +40 °C. The dimensions are approximately 146 × 49 × 71 mm, and the weight is approximately 350 g.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the XG35 Compact and the XG30 Compact? The XG35 Compact features a larger objective lens (35 mm f/1.0 vs. 30 mm f/1.2) and higher base magnification (2.5× vs. 2×). The XG30 Compact offers a wider field of view (14.6° vs. 12.5°) and is slightly lighter.

Does a larger objective lens provide better image quality? The 35 mm f/1.0 objective lens allows more infrared radiation to reach the sensor and provides higher base magnification, making distant objects easier to see. However, the field of view is slightly narrower than that of the XG30 Compact.

What does a detection range of 1,750 m mean? See on kaugus, kust seade näitab looma soojalaiguna. Liigi äratundmiseks peab loom olema mitu korda lähemal.

Can the Axion XG35 Compact be mounted on a rifle? No. It is a handheld thermal imaging device designed for observation.
