Jaeger 1.5-6×42 on nö “kuldne kesktee” ehk mitmeotstarbeline sihik, mis sobib nii aju- kui hiilimisjahiks. 1.5-kordne suurendus sobib veel üsna hästi ajujahiks, samas kui 6-kordne suurendus lubab teha täpseid laske keskmistel kaugustel. The nitrogen fill protects the optics and the interior of the body from fogging caused by temperature fluctuations. When moving from the cold into a warm room, condensation does not form on the lenses or internal parts, because the moisture-free nitrogen keeps the glass clean from the inside.

Because there is no moisture or oxygen inside the body, mould and fungus are also prevented from forming on the inner surfaces of the lenses.

Resettable adjustment turrets

The reticle (T01i) of Jaeger sights is located on the second focal plane — this means that the aiming point remains thin at every magnification and does not obscure the target. The centre of the reticle is illuminated. The adjustment wheel has intermediate off positions, which allow the illumination to be switched off quickly and later returned to the same brightness level. Illumination can be adjusted over a wide range, and the sight also has a separate operating mode for front-mounted night vision and thermal devices.
